What should I take note of when I make my own flight booking?
Flight Booking Arrangements
This year, flights are to be arranged by you, to allow greater flexibility and convenience. You may book your flights based on your preferred airline, seating options, or upgrade using miles, as well as plan any pre or post event travel should you wish to extend your stay. Should you require any assistance or guidance with flight planning, our team remains available to support you.
Arrival Flight into Marrakesh
If you are booking your own flight, please ensure that your flight arrives in Marrakesh (RAK) by 3:00pm on Friday, 1 May. This will give you sufficient time to clear immigration, collect your luggage and check in at the hotel before Day 1 Welcome Reception.
Departure Flight from Marrakesh
The LOC programme concludes on Tuesday, 5 May, which will be a free and easy day. We recommend booking your departure flight no earlier than 5 May (Hotel check out timing is 12:00 PM)

Airport Transfers
Airport transfers between the airport and the hotel are only provided for arrivals on Friday, 1 May and/or departures on Tuesday, 5 May.
If you are arriving in Marrakesh before 1 May or departing after 5 May, kindly arrange your own airport transfers.
Flight Reimbursement Procedure
You will be reimbursed a travel allowance to cover your airfare:
- Up to SGD 2,000 (for departures from Singapore)
- Up to HKD 12,000 (for departures from Hong Kong)

*Reimbursement will be processed within two weeks after the event concludes. Please note that the name on the flight ticket must match the name on the bank account provided.
Passport / Visa

Please ensure your passport has at least 6 months’ validity.
Kindly renew your passport if the validity period falls before 6 November 2026.
Visa Eligibility
Singaporean, Hong Kong and China passport holders would not require a visa to enter Marrakesh.
For other citizenship, please check if you need to apply for an evisa here.
It is recommended to apply for a visa as early as possible before your departure. The processing period may take up to 2 weeks or more. The application fee is approximately MAD 770.
VAT Refund
The standard VAT rate in Marrakesh is 20%.
You are eligible for a VAT Refund before leaving Marrakesh if you meet all the following requirements:
- Your permanent residence is outside Morocco.
- Spent a minimum of MAD 2,000 at the same merchant, on the same day.
- You must have all the forms and documents required:
- Passport
- Purchased items
- Purchased invoices
- Tax-Free form (ask for a Tax-Free form in the store)
Procedure of VAT Refund
- Look for stores offering tax-free shopping, usually indicated by a Tax-Free Shopping sticker.
- Obtain your VAT refund form from the retailer.
- Ensure that all information is correct, and the form is complete before leaving the store.
- Validate the Purchase at Customs Office before departure.
